What it's made for: running it through a rainy storm.
Two generator covers and tents that also stay on while it runs, closest to it on our rating, each with a dated price.
The GenTent Open Frame Tent in Black is sold to stay on while the generator runs, per the listing. It keeps rain and snow off the outlets; the generator still sits outside, well away from the house.

Our take
The best thing about the GenTent Open Frame Tent in Black is cover from rain and snow while it runs. No buyer reviews yet, so this GenTent generator tent has to win you over on paper. The catch with the GenTent: a cover that is almost the right size flaps in the wind, so measure first. We'd pick it if storms here come with rain or snow; otherwise, put it next to the GenTent Open Frame Tent in Gray first.
Before the GenTent Open Frame Tent in Black ships, check your generator's size: it is cut to one size, and handles and wheels add inches.
Measure length, width and height with the handle and wheels on.
Keep the exhaust side clear, the unit outside and well away from the house. Our CO safety and placement guide explains the distances.
A drawstring, straps or weights keep it on in a storm; check what the listing includes.
